CSS Exam Information

CSS stands for Central Superior Service is a well-known experiment in Pakistan that promotes the selection of intelligent, well-trained, and trained people in 12 different departments under the provincial government without discrimination on the basis of race, gender, color, religion, and ethnicity. Those who focus on goals and want to participate in community activities come from high-level competitive trials organized by the public service commission. CSS is not strictly intended for courses or part of any course, it is a test as a test of entry into the public service. CSS is a much-needed test that opens up new areas of learning that will help you in your real life.

Public services are defined as key wheels through which the entire state engine must run. A total of 39,630 students applied for the CSS exam in 2020 with 18,553 students appearing and 376 taking the CSS exam.

CSS Exams Will be Conducted in 4 Sections by FPSC

Written Examination

Following procedure is the division of marks in the written examination.

Total Written Marks: 1200

Compulsory and Optional Subjects carry equal 600 marks.

Compulsory Subjects:-

Each compulsory subject carries 100 marks making a total of 600 marks.

Optional Subjects:-

There are total of seven 7 groups are given in the syllabus of CSS. Candidates have to choose 3 three subjects (carry 200 marks each) from the following 45 subjects but only one subject can be opted from one group. This subject has to be chosen very wisely in order to obtain maximum marks, so pick the one in which either you can do your best or you already are the best.

Group 1:

It contains subjects of 200 each marks. Only one subject has to be selected.

Group 2:

This group contains subjects of 200 and 100 marks.

Following subjects carry 200 marks.

Following subjects carry 100 marks.

Group 3:

This group contains subjects of 100 marks each. Only one subject has to be selected.

Group 4:

This group contains subjects of 100 marks each. Only one subject has to be selected.

Group 5:

This group contains subjects of 100 marks each. Only one subject has to be opted.

Group 6:

This group contains subjects of 100 marks each. Only one subject has to be chosen.

Group 7:

This group contains subjects of 100 marks each. Only one subject has to be selected.
